We’ve been operating in the business of online school for over 20 years now. But things have certainly changed this year. Many families are turning to online learning as a last resort or as an alternative to distance learning. We understand that it can be a complicated and, at times, confusing decision. My Pace Courses for Difficult Schedules
Typically, we see families searching for an educational alternative that will allow for more flexibility than traditional schools. Because of this, we have perfected what we like to call structured flexibility. Our online learning programs vary, and we offer group pace classes that give students the chance to be a part of a live session. But we also offer my pace courses, which are completed at a student’s own pace. My pace courses are designed for students who need a more flexible schedule. They are self-paced and involve independent work. If your student or your family has a complicated schedule or your student simply learns more effectively through independent work, then BlueSky’s My Pace program could be well-suited to them.
College Preparation
Here at BlueSky, we go beyond just online school. We offer students the opportunity to enhance their career development through elective curriculums in an academy format. We think it’s vital for students to be prepared for their next step in life. Whether that be college or a career, we offer the courses necessary to develop the tools to be successful beyond their high school education. Especially now, while things are so uncertain, it’s a gift to give students some kind of preparation for the future and structure all in one.
Personalized Support
Our administration is here to guide and support students from their first day of class to their very last. Members of staff are dedicated to each student when a student enrolls at BlueSky. A counselor is assigned to help students adjust to a new way of learning and to simply be a support for them. A teacher is assigned to keep students accountable with assignments. And an advisor is tasked with helping students be decisive and determine their trajectory in school and beyond. Every student needs support in different ways, and we want to be a part of that. We work to provide support to each student that meets their needs. We want to be more than just an online school for students.
Experienced Online Teachers & Staff
This is not our first time at the rodeo. We’ve been teaching this way for over 20 years and throughout the years we like to think we’ve gotten some things right. Our teachers are certified in the state of Minnesota and they are dedicated to this style of learning. BlueSky teachers and staff continually strive to engage students in learning. We meet the unique needs of each student through constant communication and encouragement. Students are in frequent communication with teachers via phone, e-mail, text messages, and online chats.
