Distance Learning Period Announcement
BlueSky Students and Parents:
We have an update on BlueSky distance learning. Governor Walz announced on Thursday, April 23rd, that the Distance Learning Period will extend through the rest of the 2019-2020 school year for all Minnesota schools. This includes a requirement that schools use May 1st and May 4th as staff planning days.
What does this update mean for our students? What does BlueSky distance learning look like?
- Students will not be required to submit assignments on May 1st and May 4th. These will be staff only days.
- Students will still have access to their courses May 1st and May 4th and staff will be available to support students if needed.
- Teachers will be adjusting assignments and lessons in their courses to accommodate the two fewer days students now have to complete assignments.
Thank you,
Amy Larsen, BlueSky Superintendent
