BlueSky Esports Team Accomplishments

2023-2024

The BlueSky Comets Fortnite team, ScottZui (Scott Polly and Enrique Andrade) played a grueling tournament on Sunday, January 14th, 2024 which ended with about 6 hours of Fortnite matches. The first stage was the group stage, consisting of four groups with four teams per group. We won all three matches in our group (14-1, 11-4, and 15-0) and earned our way to the final four.

The BlueSky Comets beat Little Falls in the semi-final round in a best of three (8-1 and 8-4) to earn them a spot in the championship game against Burnsville. BlueSky Comets lost 8-7 the first game and then forced a game three by winning game two 8-7. Unfortunately, the Comets fell to Burnsville with a loss in game three 8-6.

Congratulations to team ScottZui (Scott Polly and Enrique Andrade) who are the Fortnite State Finals Runner-Ups for the 2nd consecutive season!

BlueSky has two esports teams led by Program Coordinator and Coach, Grant Cameron. They compete in Valorant and Rocket League. Each game has an eight-week season in the Fall and Spring, with a chance to compete in the State Tournament (LAN). BlueSky Esports competes in the Minnesota Varsity League (MNVL). Info on how to try out and eligibility requirements is located in the student handbook.

BlueSky Esports 2023 Trophy

2022-2023

Congratulations to BlueSky’s two esports teams that made it to the Minnesota Varsity League (MNVL) state finals in 2023. Our Fortnight duo (Enrique Andrade and Scott Polly) finished in 2nd after a grueling 11-hour day. Our Valorant team (Scott Polly, Enrique Andrade, Patrick Baumgartner, Jaz Frobenius, and Kat Guenter) finished the tournament in 4th place. We couldn’t be more proud of all of our players and their coach, Grant Cameron, for all of their hard work this season.
