My Hometown
I started my life and grew up in West St. Paul. After college, I lived in Boulder, Colorado, and moved back to Minnesota for good when I married my husband. We lived in St. Louis Park and Minnetonka before moving to Plymouth, on the west side of the Twin Cities. I have three grown children who live near me, and we enjoy spending some free time together, playing board games or trying to make each other laugh.

My Role at BlueSky
I spend half of my time teaching Biology classes and the other half teaching Chemistry and Physics classes.

When it comes to teaching at BlueSky, the positive and professional people are the icing on the cake. The atmosphere is one of pitching in to make everything work, or work even better. This makes for an encouraging place to learn new things, which is extremely important to me.

My Passions as an Educator
Middle school models for education are where it’s at for me, regardless of the grade level. People are about more than one subject or learning topic, and it takes all sorts of skills and abilities to make an interesting human. If you are dealing with something that prevents you from learning, you need to take care of that first!

My Passions and Hobbies
Gardening, baking, and doing counted cross-stitch are my passions. I really enjoy dogs, camping in MN State Parks, and learning about how the brain works. I have more hobbies than available time, but that won’t stop me from learning something new!
