How I Came to BlueSky
I came to Bluesky by a total random leap of faith. I had recently finished my school counseling degree but wasn’t in a position to make a geographic move. Getting to work at BlueSky allowed me to pursue my dream of being a school counselor without having to uproot my family.

What Makes BlueSky Special to Me
It’s a combination of the students and the staff. I love how BlueSky is a viable option for some students who may not otherwise be able to continue with their education, and my fellow staff members are some of the most considerate and caring people I’ve ever known. I’m continually impressed with the creative ways they are able to assist our students in completing assignments and classes, leading to their ability to earn their high school diploma.

My Passions and Hobbies
I’m an avid reader in the winter, and in the summer I love being by water, swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. Some of my best memories are made at the lake or river. I also spend a lot of time with my friends and family, including my three adorable grandchildren.

My Most Memorable Experience at BlueSky
I love getting to meet our students in person, which often doesn’t happen until graduation. But I think the best memory for me was when we held a retreat for our teen moms, where we got to spend time with them and their children for two days, inspiring each other with our dreams and goals while commiserating over frustrations of being young parents.
