How I Came to BlueSky
I have been teaching since 2000. Some jobs I have had in the field include teaching science (big science nerd), teaching English, and teaching special education. Some places I have taught are China, Minneapolis Public Schools, and various charter schools. It was not until finding charter schools, however, that I experienced a sense of belonging. BlueSky is no different! Everyone here is really friendly and we are able to share our passions and talents.

My Passions as an Educator
Building amazing relationships with my students, helping them grow in their learning and understanding of themselves. Fostering critical thinking skills, positive self-regard, and curiosity about our world.

My Passions and Hobbies
I love being outdoors – Canoeing and camping are my favorite activities. I also have found a bit of an obsession with worm farming (a.k.a. vermicomposting). My family recently got a puppy!
