My Role at BlueSky
Assistant Director & Principal
How I Came to BlueSky
I came to BlueSky after completing my Master’s degree in Educational Administration. While working on my Master’s degree, I conducted graduate level research on online learning while supporting the creation of an online program at my previous school. I started at BlueSky as a curriculum coordinator and eventually moved into my current role as a principal and assistant director after obtaining my administrative license. Prior to BlueSky I was a social studies teacher and campus director at a recovery school and a program coordinator for an alternative school.
What Makes BlueSky Special to Me
BlueSky is unique because we strive to meet every student where they are at. Our student support model ensures that every student has an adult they can connect with to get the support needed to be successful. I have never worked with a staff that is as passionate and caring as the staff at BlueSky.
My Passions and Hobbies
When I’m not working I can often be found fishing, especially kayak fishing. I also enjoy reading and playing guitar.
My Most Memorable Experience at BlueSky
It’s hard to select just one experience as my most memorable but each year I look forward to our graduation ceremony. Many of our graduates have to overcome significant challenges to earn their diploma and it’s an honor to be there and recognize their accomplishment in earning a high school diploma.
