Checking Progress

Parents and guardians frequently want to know how they can monitor their student’s progress. Here is how you can do that:

Go to the school web page: http://www.blueskycharter.org/
Enter  Login ID: (a four-digit number)
Enter Password: (your student’s birthdate, with the year in four digits:11131990)

Please ask your student or contact their home base teacher for their login ID.

This brings you to the main page where all your student’s classes are listed..

When you enter each class there are two main tools to help you monitor academic progress:

1. Gradebook

To see grades on assignments, click on the Gradebook tab at the top of the course. The gradebook shows whether or not assignments have been completed, how many points were earned, and the grade percentage to this point.

  • --   means that a student has not entered an assignment.
  • X  means the work is excused. It does not affect the final grade.
  • 0 means the work has not been turned in and the due date has passed. The student may or may not have time to still complete it. When in doubt, email the teacher to find out.

2. User Activity

To see how many minutes the student has spent in the class and on individual assignments, click on the Gradebook tab, then the “User Activity” button at the top of that page. This shows the time spent logged into their classes and time spent in specific lessons.
