Eric Bakken is a licensed K-12 Emotional Behavior Disorders Teacher, K-12 Learning Disabilities Teacher, & 5-12 Social Studies Teacher. 
My name is Eric Bakken and I am a special education teacher at BlueSky School. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in East Asian Studies, and a Master of Education degree in Social Studies Education, also from the University of Minnesota.
I’ve taught in Hawaii, and also in a few school districts around the Twin Cities. If you want details, ask me! 
I’ve been married for about five and a half years to a junior-high music teacher, and our “children” are Matilda (in the pool) and Mikki (in the picture with me). By the way, I’m not always bald… I sometimes shave my head in the summer, and I typically grow a beard in the winter, so you never know what you’re going to get.
For fun, I’m the skip of my curling team at the St. Paul Curling Club (the sport with the rocks and the brooms), and I’m intending to run at least 12 5Ks (or longer) this year. I like to read and cook, and I’m pretty good at trivia.
