Health This course will focus on physical education and personal health. Students will understand that decisions made today impact all areas of health. Each student will identify ways to improve wellness and decrease health risks. Topics covered include but are not limited to systems of the body, hygiene, personal safety, conflict resolution, wellness, decision-making, communication, nutrition, physical fitness, and the impact of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs on the body. Physical activity will be part of this course, which will include measuring your fitness level, journal your activity and participating in regular physical activity. You may even learn some new activities that you would have never thought to try before. Grades 9-12; semester Andrea Michels

Lifetime Physical Activity The goal of this course is to help students accept regular participation in physical activity as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Students will understand the benefits of being physically active, learn the components of physical fitness, and develop a personalized fitness plan. They will demonstrate regular participation in both aerobic and anaerobic physical activity as well as partake in a variety of activities of their choice. Grades 7-12; semester Andrea Michels
