I am Casie Hammel and this is my second year as a school social worker at BlueSky.  My philosophy is we all have our own stories and they shape who we are and who we want to become. Our stories don’t make us any better than anyone else, they just explain where we are at in this moment. Often times “in those moments” we can use a little extra support, understanding, and caring from someone else. Often times when people tell you their story, it involves a person who’s made a difference for them.

A long time ago someone made a difference for me and I developed a passion for helping others.

I can’t imagine doing anything else then being a school social worker.  I think it is so important to find something in your life that you enjoy doing and have a passion for.

I am married to my wonderful husband Damon and have a 3 year old son named Reed along with two small dogs Miles and Lucy.  I enjoy working out (especially running-it’s my new thing), being creative and spending time with my family.
