I am Paul Moore one of the new counselors to join the Bluesky School counseling staff. I am really excited about the possibilities that this school has to offer.
I spent most of my childhood growing up in Fort Snelling, my father worked for the Veterans Administration there and some families got housing on the Fort. I was privileged....there was a swimming pool across the street in front of our house and a golf course across the alley in back and now Fort Snelling is a State Park so you can imagine the kind of outdoor stuff we could do growing up.
I have been a school counselor for 17 years having spent most of that time in the Glenville-Emmons school district which is a few miles southeast of Albert Lea where I have lived for the last 15 years. In the 80s I went to cooking school and spent ten years in the hospitality business cooking at fancy restaurants in Minneapolis and in northern Minnesota resorts. I love to cook!
I have three children and now my youngest just graduated from high school and will be off to UW-Madison in the fall so life will really be different without him around. Since he is leaving Albert Lea I will move back home to the Twin Cities. I do love spending time with my kids, listening to all kinds of music, riding my bicycle, camping and growing my own food!
Just like everyone else, the students at Bluesky School deserve all the goodness that the universe has to offer. Believe it!
