My name is Laura Welciek and I teach Algebra 1 and 2 at BlueSky. When I am not teaching math, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a wonderful husband, Jeff (who is also a math teacher), two stepkids Julia and Jaylen, and a daughter named Alice Ann. I also enjoy hiking and backpacking, travel, music, playing racquet sports, as well as an assortment of games including Tetris, Dance Dance Revolution, Uno Stack-o, Sorry, and Whoonu. I've had about three and a half years of teaching experience here in Minnesota. I also had the privilege of teaching math to students from all over the world at Kodaikanal International School in India. I enjoy the unique opportunities and challenges that BlueSky has to offer as an online school and am happy to be a member of its staff. |
