Charter schools ARE public schools and were established by the Minnesota state legislature to encourage innovation in education. BlueSky is an approved online charter school and is closely monitored by the state and by our sponsor, Brooklyn Center Public Schools. Like most charter schools, BlueSky is smaller than most traditional public high schools, and because of this we can be more flexible and responsive to student needs. BlueSky offers innovative approaches, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity for parents and students to shape the direction of the school.
