Brittany Thomforde is a licensed K-12 Emotional Behavior Disorders Teacher & 5-12 Social Studies Teacher. My name is Brittany Thomforde. I am a special education teacher here at BlueSky. I am also helping out in the Social Studies Department this year. This is my second year with BlueSky. My husband, son, and I live in a small town in Southeastern Minnesota. It is actually the town I grew up in. My husband and I are both very close to our families. His family only lives a town away. We both could not imagine living anywhere else. We love it here. My husband Wayne drives truck for a local company. My son Owen turned two in May and boy is he a handful. His new favorite pass time is doing anything daddy does. He also loves playing with tractors and trucks. We also have a dog, Oscar, a six year old beagle. Between the two of them, they keep us very busy. As for a little bit about myself, I am a 2001 graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree in Teaching Social Studies with a concentration in Political Science. In 2003, I completed a certificate program from Minnesota State University Mankato in the area of Special Education. I also completed my Masters of Science Degree in Special Education through Mankato in 2005. Besides teaching and being with my family, I do enjoy many other activities. During the summer, I am very active in summer volleyball and softball leagues. I recently took up scrap booking and stamping. I am also very active in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Last but not least, I am a girly girl and I love to SHOP!!!! |
