Amy Larsen is a licensed 5-8 Science Teacher & 9-12 Life Sciences Teacher. I currently teach Biology and Environmental Health Science for BlueSky Charter School. I started teaching at BlueSky in the 2006-2007 school year and have enjoyed watching and helping the school grow ever since. I earned my teaching degree from the College of St. Scholastica in 2006. Prior to obtaining my teaching degree, I worked for Olmsted County (in Rochester, MN) as an Environmental Health Specialist after earning my bachelors degree in Microbiology. Before this, I worked at the Mayo Clinic as an X-ray Technologist. I have a love of science with a diverse background in it and hope to pass this interest on to the students.
I stay busy taking care of my 2 daughters (age 11 and 2), 1 son (age 5), and husband, Greg. We enjoy camping in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. I also enjoy reading and learning new subjects. My family and I currently live in Byron with our cat (Mittens) and dog (Tito). |
