Where do you live?
I currently live in Southeast Minnesota with my family.
Why did you become a teacher?
I became a science teacher because I wanted to show students how science is involved in every aspect of life; from driving, walking, to riding roller coasters.
Our world is changing fast and the only method of learning that can keep up with the world is online education.
Why did you choose BlueSky?
BlueSky offered me a new perspective on how to teach students from all types of backgrounds and experiences that I might not have gotten anywhere else.
What do you think makes BlueSky special?
BlueSky doesn’t fit the mold or stereotype of what you would think a school should be – this is key to teaching in the 21st century. Our world is changing fast and the only method of learning that can keep up with the world is online education.
What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?
I have three things I truly like to do in life when I am not teaching; (1) spend time with my wife and kids, (2) watch and read science fiction, (3) online gaming.
If there were one thing you could tell people about BlueSky, what would it be?
BlueSky Online is one of the few schools that you will find teachers that will not only know their subject area but will also know about programming, HTML, Adobe Flash, or computer hardware and are enthusiastic about new technology and how to use it online.
