Where do you live?
I live in lakes country, about three-and-a-half hours northwest of the cities in Battle Lake with my husband, Andy, our two beautiful daughters, Ava (4) and Layla (2) and our lil' man Vance (5 months). We have a high-energy shorkie named Scooter that loves to run circles around the girls.
Why did you become a teacher?
Becoming a teacher is just something I always knew I wanted. It just came naturally to me!
BlueSky cares. Even though staff and students are spread hundreds of miles there is a sense of community, togetherness.
Why did you choose BlueSky?
I have always been interested in technology and the importance of it in education. Being a part of the new online trend in the U.S. is an amazing opportunity!
What do you think makes BlueSky special?
BlueSky cares. Even though staff and students are spread hundreds of miles there is a sense of community, togetherness. Even though I am not physically in front of my students, I let them know that I care and am here to help them succeed with their high school education. I feel very rewarded and privileged to work with the eager students and caring staff that we have here at BlueSky.
What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?
Most of my free time is spent just hanging out with my kids, but I do enjoy anything to do with the lake; swimming, fishing, tubing skiing or just lounging.
If there were one thing you could tell people about BlueSky, what would it be?
At BlueSky, the level of communication and caring for your education can not be surpassed!
