Special Education

skeller@blueskyschool.org

Where do you live?

I am from Apple Valley area and currently live in South Minneapolis

Why did you become a teacher?

I decided to pursue education after I spent a year abroad teaching English.  I came back to the state and got my teaching licensure to teach French.  Shortly after, I went back and got certified to teach Special Education.

Why did you choose BlueSky?

I chose BlueSky because I noticed some of my students needed a different type of environment to be successful.  I also was drawn by the flexibilty of an online school as a teacher and the unique ways in which I am able to reach my students and facilitate their learning.

What do you think makes BlueSky special?

BlueSky is special for many reasons, including the interesting way that instruction is delivered, and the connections that staff make with each other and with students.

What do you like to do when you're not teaching?

When I am not teaching, I like to travel - for adventure or relaxation!  I love road biking in the summer and I also enjoy practicing yoga regularly.

If there were one thing you could tell people about BlueSky, what would it be?

If you're self-motivated and looking for an environment with staff members that care about you and your success, BlueSky would be a great fit for you!
