Where do you live?
I live in Tyler with my husband and four children.
Why did you become a teacher?
I have always been interested and involved in the arts all of my life and I enjoy working with youth as well. Inspiring creative thinking is very rewarding to me as well as helping students develop confidence in who they are individually.
BlueSky students are definitely taken care of and truly cared for by our staff.
Why did you choose BlueSky?
I like the idea of teaching and getting to know students from all over the state of Minnesota. BlueSky has allowed me to "think outside of the box." As an art teacher, I have found that the ideas and possibilities for creating art are endless. It is exciting to me to play a part in delivering such innovative education to students.
What do you think makes BlueSky special?
The personal touch that we give the online environment by really getting to know our students by telephone, email and other forms of communication is what makes BlueSky special. One of my students told me that she is so busy she doesn't get to even see her parents as often as she would like, but BlueSky is the next best thing to her parents.
What do you like to do when you're not teaching?
I love spending time with my family. Along with all of my kids' activities, I also enjoy gardening, bike riding, and creating my own artwork when there's time.
If there were one thing you could tell people about BlueSky, what would it be?
The staff at BlueSky is amazing. I have never seen a more motivated, energetic group of people working together to bring the best of the best in education to our students. BlueSky students are definitely taken care of and truly cared for by our staff.
