Where do you live?

I live by myself in South Minneapolis.

Why did you become a teacher?

I became a teacher because I felt I could make a difference in the world around me. Teaching has always been something I intuitively understood and something I cared about doing.

BlueSky teachers are supported in our efforts at helping our students succeed and are encouraged in our search for workable, successful approaches and outcomes.

Why did you choose BlueSky?

I was very excited and impressed with the innovative approach to education that BlueSky was exploring. The online piece was very attractive, but more importantly, I wanted to work in an environment that was dedicated to working with the individual student and dedicated to helping each individual student succeed.

What do you think makes BlueSky special?

BlueSky has always embraced a flexible approach to education. BlueSky teachers are supported in our efforts at helping our students succeed, and we are encouraged in our search for workable successful approaches and outcomes.

What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?

I am an artist and am involved in some of the arts organizations in the Twin Cities.

If there were one thing you could tell people about BlueSky, what would it be?

BlueSky is a grade 7-12 school that offers flexible educational options for all of our students. Our students come from all backgrounds and all walks of life throughout the Minnesota. We keep close contact with our students and their families in an effort to help them reach their educational goals.
