Where do you live?
I live in Zumbrota with my husband, two sons, and a German Shepherd/Lab mix.
Why did you become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I have always valued education. It is the one way through which a person can improve their lifestyle or their life. I enjoy working with children and helping them grow into their potential. I also wanted to be able to help underprivileged students gain an education so that they will be able to have a better life than what they had as a child.
BlueSky is truly centered around its students.
Why did you choose BlueSky?
I chose BlueSky Online School because of the innovative method of learning and the friendly teachers. This is one of the first schools in which I have taught at that seems to have a staff that work so well together and get along really well.
What do you think makes BlueSky special?
Blue Sky is special because of the teacher contact with the students. Teachers at Blue Sky talk with students much more than most teachers in a traditional setting. Students who were easy to overlook in a traditional school get much attention on a regular basis at Blue Sky.
What do you like to do when you’re not teaching?
When I am not teaching, I take classes to further my own education. I also play the piano and organ and like to go to concerts. I also garden, sew, and read.
If there were one thing you could tell people about BlueSky, what would it be?
BlueSky offers quality education with teachers who are willing to adapt their classes to each and every student. BlueSky is truly centered around its students.
