Where do you live?

I live in Vadnais Heights, MN.

What is your role in keeping BlueSky running smoothly?

I am a Middle School Counselor and also work with College and Career Readiness for our high school population. I help middle school students become more acclimated to BlueSky. For students interested in learning more about College or Careers, I update information about college and job fairs across Minnesota and will be hosting some college visits throughout the school year. Additionally, I administer district and state testing.

Why did you choose BlueSky?

I really like the mission of BlueSky, serving a broad base of students and helping them achieve an education in a flexible learning environment. I worked in higher education for fourteen years, and during that time I noticed a gap in student's post-secondary preparation and awareness. This opportunity came along and I am thrilled to use my experience, school counseling education, and connections to help students prepare for their life after high school!

What do you like to do when you're not working at BlueSky?

When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I took up running after grad school, I have completed several short distance races, and three half marathons - including two at Disney World. I also enjoy fishing, boating, watching MN sports teams, and reading.
